据美国精神病学会所说，患有自恋型人格障碍的个体自尊心低而且感觉自卑，他们也表现出强烈的傲慢和虚荣心。研究人员使用磁共振成像技术扫描了34个人的大脑，其中的17名测试者患有自恋型人格障碍。研究人员发现这些病态的自恋者在左前脑岛的大脑皮层部分有着较少的灰白质。灰白质主要由神经元细胞以及为神经元提供营养素和能量的非神经元脑细胞构成。

According to the American Psychiatric Association, individuals with narcissistic personality disorder have low self-esteem and feel inferior. They also show strong arrogance and vanity. The researchers used magnetic resonance imaging to scan the brains of 34 people; 17 of whom had narcissistic personality disorder. The researchers found that these pathological narcissists had less gray matter in the cerebral cortex of the left forebrain (missing brain area). 

Remember, you can't change the narcissist. That is almost impossible.
